Tyler Cline

Background

Tyler earned his B.S.B.A. in Finance, cum laude, from West Virginia University, with minors in History, Psychology, and Communications, before continuing on to the WVU College of Law. From an early age, he was drawn to work that involved problem solving, advocacy, and helping others navigate challenging situations, which ultimately led him to pursue a career in law.

During law school, Tyler received the ABA–Bloomberg BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Labor and Employment Law and earned CALI Awards in Advanced Labor Law, Elder Law, and Jurisprudence. He also served as a Graduate Assistant in the WVU Financial Aid Office, where he worked closely with students and families to address financial concerns and access educational opportunities, further reinforcing his commitment to service-oriented work.

Tyler developed his practical legal skills as a Student Attorney in the WVU Entrepreneurship & Innovation Law Clinic, where he represented small West Virginia businesses in matters involving nonprofit formation, trademark clearance, and filings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Through this experience, he gained firsthand insight into the challenges individuals and organizations face when navigating complex legal systems and developed a practical, client-centered approach to advocacy.

Rooted in the Northern Panhandle

Tyler opened his own practice in 2019, and when Tejinder Singh joined him in 2021, Cline & Singh, PLLC was formed. Practicing where he was raised means Tyler brings more than legal training to his cases — he brings a working knowledge of the local courts, the local community, and what families and individuals in the Northern Panhandle actually need from their attorney.
